Parkview Wellness Loop and Walking Trails
with Lifestyle Medicine Staff
Take A Break & Take A Walk
Please feel welcome to use either our indoor or outdoor walking trails.
Choose from:
- Indoor loop: Stay safe and warm in winter or cool in summer. Walk the designated halls of the Parkview campus. Please sign in at the station in our Social Hub, sign a waiver, and wear a badge while walking. Distances are outlined on the back of the badge.
- Outdoor One-Mile Walk Loop: The walk starts and ends at the main entrance to the medical building at 329 Maine Street and follows Parkview Circle returning via Bettle Drive. With two turns around the Parkview Circle-Bettle Drive loop, the route is one-mile long. There is a map at the Walking Loop station in the Social Hub.
- Parkview Woods Trails: Totaling less than a mile, the woods trail is a lovely walk through pine woods around and near the MaineHealth Parkview Campus. The trail is carpeted with pine needles and is relatively flat with just a few mild inclines. However, there are tree roots crossing the path throughout its entirety and walkers should pay attention to them. Those roots will also make wheeled access challenging. There are no benches or trash receptacles along the trail and there is no smoking. Animals must be leashed and pet waste removed. Please respect the woods as well as the health and safety of other walkers. A map showing access points is located at the Wellness Loop station in the Social Hub.
A signed waiver is required to walk indoors and walking outdoors is at your own risk. If you see any hazards on the trail, please report them immediately so they can be addressed.
For more information, please call 207-373-6585.
